Wells Fargo's 800-222-8222 phone number connected me with the bank's Allspring Funds client service line. Immediately, I was greeted with a recorded list of options to help direct my call. The menu presented to me was easy to navigate and listed a lot of the reasons that someone might be trying to contact Allspring Global Investments. 

These reasons include getting help gaining access to your online account or accessing the company's automated phone assistance system. You can also call this number to get tax-related information and year-end documents. If you've received an account inactivity notice, you can deal with it using this phone number, too. Finally, you can call this number to access and order recent shareholder reports. 

If you try to call outside of business hours, you'll be told to call back between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. The recording did not give me a chance to leave a message or request a callback. It did, however, let me know that I could visit the website for help with many common customer service issues. This is not the line to call if you want to buy Allspring Funds investments; for that, you need to contact a different department or your local Wells Fargo branch.

After I selected the option to get help troubleshooting account access, I was told that my call would be recorded. I stayed on the line and listened to lively music while I waited. It took only about three or four minutes to be connected with a representative. 

As soon as the rep answered the phone, I was asked for some details about my account, including my email and account number. You should have this information handy to speed up the help process. The rep was cordial and patient while she waited for me to find my information. She also provided me with helpful advice about how to find this information if I didn't have it. 

The representative offered me assistance navigating the website. She detailed the ins and outs of recovering my account online as well as what to do if I couldn't locate my account information. She informed me that I could also get assistance in-person through my local Wells Fargo branch. Overall, the client service agent was very kind and helpful, and although I didn't have the appropriate details, I spoke to her for only a few minutes to iron out the issue and get the information I needed to proceed.
