I have been waiting for weeks for my background check to come back. In the meantime, I was given the go-ahead to rent a car through Uber, which I did four weeks ago. I have been paying for it out-of-pocket every week. Yesterday, my background check came back, and I was cleared to drive. However, when I tried to log on, the app said I was located in another country. I was instructed to redo my background check due to a system glitch, which could take another 4 weeks. I am still paying for the rental car and unable to drive to make money with Uber. I am frustrated with the process of running the background check again and the difficulty in switching countries on the app. It's been challenging to get a clear answer from Uber support on how to resolve this issue.

Four weeks ago, I picked up my rental car through Uber. I was grateful for the opportunity to give rides and do deliveries. However, to my dismay, I found out that my account was inaccessible due to a pending background check. Just yesterday, the background check finally cleared, but I'm still unable to go online. According to support, the issue lies in my location being detected in another country. They mentioned that they have to redo my background check and reset my platform. Apparently, there is a glitch causing delays in background checks. I was informed that another four weeks might be needed for the process. I believe Uber should cover the cost of the rental car I've been paying for out-of-pocket during this time. As my main source of income is through Uber, I'm running out of funds to keep up with the rental payments. I tried to address the background check issue with support today, but they assured me it's not an immediate concern. I feel lost and unsure of what steps to take next.

Good morning, I am reaching out to you after contacting the authorities yesterday morning by phone, and they advised me to send you what had happened to this email. My name is María José R. Sedeño with ID number [redacted]7D and phone number [redacted]. Yesterday, I was out biking on the road in the Entre núcleos area. When I was heading back to Seville on Avenida de las Universidades, upon reaching the roundabout called Manuel Clavero Arévalo, a car coming from the street with the same name failed to yield at the entrance to the roundabout and almost hit me, as I was already inside it and they didn't even attempt to brake. I gestured and shouted, scared because I had to brake abruptly. I am writing because this vehicle was an Uber and the recklessness of this driving behavior caught my attention and bothered me, considering they provide a service transporting passengers and spend a lot of time on the road. Accidents, and in some cases fatalities, happen due to recklessness like this on the road. This is even more concerning for cyclists who are at high risk when traffic rules are not followed. This incident occurred between 11:12/11:15 in the morning on 20/05/[redacted]. The Uber vehicle had the license plate [redacted]-LVW, and was driven by a girl with loose wavy hair and wearing an FFP2 mask. I am not sure what actions can be taken, I plan to report this to Uber next. But I hope at the very least this serves as a reminder for this driver to be more cautious and respect traffic rules when encountering a cyclist on the road. Thank you, regards.

Ayer, mientras andaba en bicicleta por la zona de Entre Núcleos y regresaba a Sevilla por la Avenida de las Universidades, casi fui atropellada en la rotonda Manuel Clavero Arévalo. Un coche de Uber proveniente de la calle del mismo nombre no respetó la señal de ceda el paso al incorporarse a la rotonda, poniéndome en peligro al no frenar. Es preocupante que un conductor de Uber muestre tanta imprudencia, especialmente considerando que transportan pasajeros y pasan mucho tiempo en la carretera. Situaciones como esta pueden provocar accidentes graves, especialmente para ciclistas si no se respetan las normas de tráfico. El incidente ocurrió entre las 11:12 y las 11:15 de la mañana del 20/05/[redacted]. El vehículo de Uber implicado tiene matrícula [redacted]-LVW y era conducido por una chica con el pelo suelto y ondulado, que llevaba una mascarilla FP2. No estoy segura de las medidas que pueden tomarse, pero planeo informar a Uber al respecto. Hello, I am reaching out regarding an incident I experienced with an Uber driver today. The driver was abusive and offensive, both physically and verbally, leading to my food and phone falling due to his actions. I promptly reported the incident to Uber. However, they attempted to contact me on an outdated phone number. After updating my contact information, my account was unexpectedly deactivated, with the reasons provided in Portuguese, making it challenging to understand. I have since requested for my account to be reactivated, hoping that Uber will address the primary concern of verbal and physical abuse appropriately. At present, my account remains closed, resulting in no access to Uber services.

I made a car booking with Uber 24 hours in advance, receiving confirmation and driver details. Despite arriving early, the driver was a no-show. The app then indicated a long delay, leading to the driver canceling. After being promised another driver, Uber failed to find one and suggested finding our own way. This disrupted our long-awaited dinner plans at a special restaurant, causing disappointment. I have evidence supporting my claims. Uber's actions ruined our evening and harmed their reputation. I expect an explanation or may involve the media. Furthermore, receiving a follow-up satisfaction inquiry was another frustrating experience.

On May 23, I booked an Uber auto from Jio World near BKC to Shabari Hotel in Vashi. The estimated fare displayed was Rs278. The Uber driver appeared to be just 1 minute away from my location, so I reached out to him using Uber's free call service to guide him accurately, but he was unresponsive initially, circling a closed area at Jio. After several attempts, he finally answered and arrived 20 minutes late. Considering that my phone's location services were active with GPS enabled, it was confusing why he took longer than expected to reach me. Upon reaching the destination, the driver demanded Rs390, which seemed excessive as local auto-rickshaws were offering the same trip for Rs300. This has occurred twice this month, indicating a decline in Uber's service quality. I would appreciate a refund of Rs122 the difference between Rs390 and Rs278 credited back to my wallet.

I was disappointed with my recent taxi ride with Mandeep Singh, NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission licensed driver (# [redacted] Exp. 2/2/24). I kindly requested him to wear a mask due to my elderly mother's compromised immune system, but he refused. Despite the $[redacted] fare, he rushed and drove recklessly, sacrificing safety. His refusal to wear a mask, given the current high number of Covid cases, was concerning. It's essential for drivers like him to prioritize passenger safety by following health guidelines.

I am looking to contact you as I have not received a satisfactory response from your customer support team. Fuel prices in Pakistan suddenly rose by 20% starting May 27, [redacted], making it very challenging for drivers to make a decent living. The fares have not been adjusted to reflect this increase, putting a strain on drivers working long hours in the sweltering heat of Lahore. The rising fuel costs impact other aspects of daily life as well. I urge the top management to address this matter promptly as many Uber drivers may consider switching to other platforms like InDriver. Your attention to this issue is greatly valued.

I had a distressing experience with an Uber driver with license plate HR 39D [redacted] (Driver's name Bishnoi 29.05.[redacted]) who displayed inappropriate behavior. The driver was not wearing a mask and talking on the phone while driving. Despite objecting to his actions, he became aggressive and abandoned us during our journey, leaving us stranded in the scorching heat. We have photographic evidence of his misconduct. We managed to continue our journey with another Uber cab (HR1 RTC0780, Driver Hira) from Church Road Vasant Kunj to Sector 55, Gurgaon. To address this issue, we request the following actions be taken: 1) A Rs 10,[redacted] penalty for the driver's violation of Covid-19 safety protocols. 2) Rs 10,[redacted] compensation for the distress caused to the patient. 3) Rs 10,[redacted] for threatening elderly passengers. 4) Rs 10,[redacted] for misguiding Uber by abandoning the trip. 5) A Rs 1,00,[redacted] reimbursement for the mental and physical distress caused to the patients. 6) Terminate the agreement between Uber and the driver. On May 25th, I took an Uber rickshaw from my office to Rajendra Vihar in Malad. I paid the rickshaw driver the full fare of [redacted] rupees and left. The next day, when attempting to book another Uber, I was told I hadn't paid the previous day's fare of [redacted] rupees. Despite my complaint through the app confirming I had paid, I couldn't book for two days unless I paid again on my next trip, which I did. During my subsequent ride, the driver explained that they have to confirm the fare received on their phone after the ride, which the previous driver may have missed. I have repeatedly complained to Uber, but they have not responded. Unfortunately, there is no phone number to speak to an Uber representative; communication is solely through the app. Can anyone offer assistance? Thank you.

I have been a loyal Uber user for many years. However, tonight I encountered a frustrating experience. Despite attempting to request a ride for 45 minutes, the app wouldn't accept my request. Interestingly, my sister managed to book a ride on her phone, but she was charged $14.53 instead of the expected $8.88. When the driver arrived, he claimed there was no drop-off location and refused to take me. After some discussion, he even requested cash, which I didn't have, and then suggested I pay him via Zelle. I am puzzled as to why the fare changed and why I was asked for money, especially when the amount was already deducted from my sister's account. My attempts to seek help through the app were unsuccessful, and I was alarmed that it requested my credit card details just to offer assistance. This type of customer service is unacceptable. I am considering sharing my experience on social media and with local news outlets. Uber, please address these issues promptly upon receiving this message.

I arranged for an Uber to take me to the airport, but the driver's arrival time was delayed, putting my flight at risk. The driver suggested cancelling, but didn't mention the charge for doing so. We encountered multiple drivers who accepted then cancelled our ride, causing further delays. Ultimately, we had to drive to the airport, incurring high parking costs to make our flight. Now, we've been charged a $10 cancellation fee, which we dispute. We need a refund promptly. The incident occurred on June 6th, but I can't locate it on the app. Dissatisfied with this experience, we will not use Uber again and will involve our credit card company to dispute the charge. On Saturday, 04.06.[redacted], I took three rides. The first ride I paid in cash to the driver, Mr. Sai, Rs. 43.22, but it was still added to my next ride bill. The second ride I paid Rs. 78.14 on the Uber App. For the third ride with Mr. Maqsood Khan, I opted for cash payment. At the end of the ride, it showed Rs. [redacted] due. Since I had already paid for the earlier rides, I tried to pay Mr. Maqsood Khan in cash, but he refused, mentioning that the balance would be deducted from his account if he accepts cash. After some argument, Mr. Maqsood Khan left without accepting any payment. I would like to know how to pay him. Also, please note that my first trip of Rs. 43.22 was charged twice, once in cash and once through the app.

On 8/6/22, I reserved taxi HR73A0703 at 8:56 PM from Indira Gandhi International Airport to Kerala House, Jantar Mantar Road, January. The driver, identified as Sathis, drove me partway and admitted to taking the wrong route before dropping me off at Kerala House. The initial fare displayed was Rs.[redacted].82, yet he asked for Rs.[redacted] instead. A message states that I owe Rs.[redacted]. As a legal professional, I require a receipt for the Rs.[redacted] payment. Without it, I may need to seek resolution through the appropriate channels.

Since March [redacted], Pending.Uber.com in San Francisco, CA has been charging me $9.99 monthly for March, April, and May without my authorization. Despite my efforts and complaints to my bank, the charges were reversed, leading to inconveniences. Even after my bank replaced my debit card in April to stop the charges, somehow the transactions continued in May with my new card number. After reversing the charges and replacing my debit card again in May, Bank of America confirmed the $19.98 dispute was settled in June. However, I was shocked to discover another $9.99 charge for June today. I am puzzled as I have even cancelled my cellular phone. How do I stop these unauthorized charges? - M.

I booked an Uber ride to my office as usual. Normally, I pay around Rs.[redacted]/-, but this morning I was charged Rs.[redacted]/-. I would like an explanation for this sudden increase in fare. Without any oversight on your pricing, it seems like regular customers like myself are being taken advantage of. If this continues, I may have to seek assistance from consumer protection services. When I travel the same 4.5 km distance by yellow taxi, even with an extra Rs.20/- fee, my fare is only around Rs.90/- to Rs.[redacted]/-. The significant price difference is concerning. I have raised this issue before without any resolution. I kindly request a refund for the excess amount charged without any excuses like high demand to justify the inflated fare.

I accidentally left my bag in the vehicle. Initially, Bobi confirmed that my bag was with him when I called, but later he stopped responding to my calls.
