I got a letter saying that I owe money from my tax return because I did not claim that I had filed for unemployment. The issue is that I have never applied for unemployment! I have kept my job throughout Covid and although we went remote, working from home, I never lost my job! I feel like this is some kind of fraud. I need to speak to someone about this. I called the SS Admininstration and they have no reported unemployment related to my SS number so they advised me to reach out to you.
