On January 26th, I registered with Hertz and rented a car from the Austin International Airport. Although there was an ice storm upon our arrival on February 2nd, my issue arose when I returned the rental car on February 5th. Subsequently, I noticed four unauthorized charges on my credit card on the 5th, 7th, and 2 on the 8th, all for fast food purchases. The concerning part is that I have only used this particular credit card once in the past 5 years. It seems likely that the unauthorized individuals obtained my credit card number through the Austin Hertz car company. I have already contacted the Chase Fraud department regarding this matter and unfortunately, I do not plan on using Hertz in the future. How would you react in this situation? T. G. Email: [redacted]

I made a reservation on December 10, [redacted] to pick up a car on December 26, [redacted]. Unfortunately, our flight was canceled on the 26th, and we flew on the 27th, missing the car pickup. When we arrived on December 27, we were informed that the reservation had been canceled. They offered us another car at double the previous price, which we declined. The staff member mentioned a refund would be processed within a week. It's now March [redacted], and we have yet to receive our refund.

I'm dropping off a rental car at Detroit Airport, and the drop-off location is roughly 2 miles away with a shuttle service available. I need to check in for my flight by 11:30 AM. How much time should I allocate for the rental car drop-off, paperwork, shuttle wait time, and the ride to the Frontier airline check-in counter? I've spent the past two hours calling various [redacted] numbers, navigating voice menus, and exploring online options, but I haven't found the information I need.

I dropped off my rental car at BHX airport before 15:00 on March 4 to make my 16:05 flight. Despite following instructions, I was charged a late fee in error. I am certain I was not late and am requesting a refund of the 10 pounds late fee. I had raised this concern before and was promised a follow-up in a couple of days, but I have not received any communication. If I do not hear back before my credit card bill is due in mid-April, I will dispute the entire charge. Please address this matter promptly. Hello, I recently reserved a car (Reservation: K[redacted]) for last weekend. The payment was made with a debit card as there was no indication that a credit card was necessary. Upon arrival to collect the car, we were informed that a credit card was required, which we did not have. Consequently, we were unable to proceed with the rental despite having already paid for it. Is it feasible to receive a refund for the amount paid?

I have a vehicle rented from Hertz, due back on 4-24 from Tampa FL to Akron/Canton. My flight on Breeze Airlines departs at 7 am on 4-24. The Hertz location at the airport opens at 6 am, which only leaves me an hour to make my flight. I'm wondering about the airport tram schedule and how much time I should allocate. Can I return the car early and have the receipt mailed to me later? Is the gate open around 5:30 am for early drop-off? I am struggling to get through to someone by phone as the calls disconnect after a short ring.

Re: Rental Agreement no. [redacted]21 I am writing about an invoice dated February 16, [redacted], document no. [redacted]84, for the amount of $[redacted].42, related to a rental from January 14 to January 21, [redacted], in Panama City, Florida. This invoice is incorrect as I already paid the full amount of $[redacted].42 to Hertz. Before my trip on January 14-21, [redacted], I prepaid the rental amount of $[redacted].42 through the Hertz website using a Capital One virtual card linked to my regular credit card. The payment was processed on December 8, [redacted], and acknowledged by Hertz via email. Upon my arrival at the Panama City Hertz counter on Jan 14, [redacted], I was asked to repay the $[redacted].42 because my credit card number didn't match the virtual card number used for prepayment. Despite their assurance to refund the overpayment, it was never processed. After contacting Hertz and Capital One, the overpaid amount was credited back to me by Capital One. I believe this invoice is a result of the refund processed by Capital One and should be voided as no further payments are necessary. I have already submitted a letter to Hertz Dept [redacted] on 2/23 without a response, except for receiving another invoice.

On March 27, [redacted], I landed at Nashville BNA airport around 10:40 PM after a delayed flight. My booking was updated by my travel agent, and I hold President's Circle status. When I reached the Hertz rental area, there were no cars available, and there was a long line of 30-40 customers ahead of me. Despite being a President's Circle member, I was instructed to wait at the back of the line with no priority given. I waited for over an hour to get a car. According to the Hertz website, President's Circle members are guaranteed confirmed vehicle availability of Standard Equipment Economy through full-size 4 door vehicles in the US and Canada with a minimum 48-hour advance reservation. I fulfilled all the requirements, but Hertz failed to meet their commitment.

I am Connie B., the renter of car [redacted]85, and I have encountered difficulties paying for the rental. Despite being promised various discounts, including an AAA discount, they were not applied, and the payment schedule was supposed to be weekly, which has not been the case. I am trying to resolve these issues as the charges amount to $[redacted] without a proper inspection of the car, even though I requested it, the staff did not conduct one or document any findings.

I encountered an issue when returning the car I rented from Hertz. Upon returning the car with slightly more gas than I received it with, the staff member at the counter accused me of being dishonest. Despite being a loyal gold member and following all rules, I was treated rudely and unprofessionally. The employee's behavior was unacceptable, making me feel uncomfortable. I am disappointed with Hertz's poor customer service and felt the need to voice my concerns. I have already contacted Customer Service and am now seeking to speak with a manager regarding this matter. My rental is scheduled to be returned tomorrow and I hope to resolve this issue promptly. I reserved a car online for April 19 to May 4, [redacted], at Toronto Pearson Airport through Dollar. I made a payment of [redacted]€. When I went to pick up the car, I couldn't pay for the additional driver and extras because the card reader was not working. I initially thought it was my bank's issue. After confirming with my bank that my card was fine, I returned the next day with no success. Even trying with a friend's card, the problem persisted. The staff suggested I request a refund. Today, when attempting to log in, I entered my member number and password. A message appeared stating that my account was locked due to entering an invalid password. I followed the instructions to reset my password. After changing it, I received an email confirming the successful update. However, when I tried to log in again with the new password, there was only a spinning wheel and nothing happened. I tested this on different browsers, but encountered the same issue each time. I am in need of assistance, please.

I need to extend my rental until May 11th, which is the longest I can extend it. The website shows a charge of $39, but when attempting to process it, it comes to $78. I didn't authorize this charge on my card as every transaction needs my approval. I feel like the website is misleading customers by not charging as advertised for extensions. I've been using the car for almost two weeks each month due to personal reasons, and I want to continue renting with you guys, but this issue needs to be resolved. I have to attend a family funeral in the mountains, about an hour away, hence the urgency. Please ensure that the extension charges me the correct amount as provided by Hertz. Thank you for understanding my situation, as my current rental ends in 4 hours.

I reside near a small Hertz dealership in Beaumont, Texas, situated at the intersection of Interstate 10 and Harrison St. The condition of the lot and office is concerning, as it is an eyesore in our community bordering a church and an elementary school. For years, two corners have been plagued with weeds and litter. Despite my efforts to clean up, the situation has not changed. This message serves as my initial complaint regarding this matter. I received my rental record (Rental Record #[redacted]16) and noticed that "LIS" is marked as "Accepted". When I arranged the car rental through my company's travel service, I did not accept any additional products. As a Gold Plus Rewards member, I did not have any prior discussions before selecting my car at the Gold Zone. Upon leaving the Hertz pickup/return area at Newark airport, the staff only offered to prepay for refueling, which I declined. I would like the charge to be removed since I did not accept it and was not given the option to decline it during my rental process.

I rented a car from Hertz and was shocked to find it in such poor condition. The battery, oil, wiper fluid, air filter, and tires were all in bad shape for a [redacted] Volkswagen. The passenger rear tire had a screw, and the brakes were screeching due to neglected rotors. It took considerable effort to get Hertz to approve the necessary repairs. The whole ordeal was frustrating and time-consuming.

On March 5, [redacted], I reserved a car at the Bellingham, WA airport. After a $[redacted] charge to my account, my Visa was compromised. Upon arrival, Hertz couldn't honor my reservation as the card had changed. I rented a car for $[redacted], receiving a credit of $[redacted], leading to a $[redacted] discrepancy. I recently rented a car from Hertz as a Gold Member and encountered several issues. Upon returning to my hotel, the car failed to start, prompting Hertz to send AAA. AAA deemed the car unsafe due to a dead battery and alternator. Despite Hertz assuring me they would send a tow truck promptly, none arrived by the following morning. When I left for the airport, the car remained in the same spot approximately 18 hours later.
