No greater sham, scam, and hoax played on Delawareans than what you have done with Unemployment. While Covid-** had provided cover for the incompetence and ineptitude that has plagued the department for like forever, the fact is the office has been a farce for years.*Lat fall, I was put on reduced hours. The process should have been simple, but the bureaucracy still held me up for several weeks.*I then found a job that lasted about ** weeks and attempted to resume collecting. Again, something straightforward turned into a time consuming and nasty pursuit of monies owed to me. I finally got the money but only after repeated attempts to effect payment to me.*What do you think? That the unemployed folks have huge savings accounts to live off while your unconcerned political hacks dilly dally. Is that what you think? My belief is that your incompetent employees should have to wait *, *, * weeks for their paychecks like they make unemployed and needy citizens wait.*And to call the unemployment office – good luck…..useless. Minimum wait time prior to Covid – ** was ** mins and often way more. And now forget – impossible.*So now my wife is attempting to get unemployment. She is a highly skilled and successful real estate photographer and she was having a banner year prior to the shutdown. The forms you require are so foolish it is hard to believe that adults actually concocted them. They ask for numbers from tax forms that make no sense and have no bearing whatsoever. And I am a tax practitioner. How about the folks that are not computer savvy, do not have internet access, understand taxes, etc. How the heck are they supposed to deal with the mess you gave them to work with.*My firm belief is that the ploy is to make it so miserable to collect that people will give up. And then the inept Delaware administration can pocket the funds meant for hard-working Delaware citizens.*Recently I was badgered by the Department of Transportation for a $**.** deficit. Maybe you should put the DOT in charge of the joke called Department of Labor. Better yet fire the useless bureaucrats that have found a comfy home there.*Shame on each one of you for this disgusting and sinful hoax perpetrated on the citizens of Delaware.*And please do not use covid-** as cover for the gross incompetence that I believe has spanned decades.**Francis Pipczynski
