I am experiencing difficulty in retrieving my truck from the tow truck company. I had paid for registration, insurance, and other fees to remove the registration restriction as a consequence of my DUI arrest. Despite settling with you, my license was suspended on July 18th. The tow company has held my truck since my release from jail in June, citing ownership. I have complied and have been informed that the truck belongs to me, but they refuse to release it or provide access to my personal items. I have reached out to the investigators unit but have not made progress in resolving this situation.

I was double charged during the registration process for my used car. On July 14th, at the Los Angeles DMV office, the new agent mistakenly billed me twice, $[redacted].00 and $45.06. I was unable to complete the registration without a smog certificate and VIN verification. Returning on 8/23 with the required documents, I was billed twice again, $[redacted].00 and $51.32, despite explaining the previous double charge. The agent insisted I hadn't been charged before. This occurred 14 years ago, and now in August [redacted], the San Bernardino, CA DMV is requesting that I take a DUI class for $[redacted]. Without a license, I won't be able to work or go to school, which would set me back in life. I, Leigh Skinner, have not received my disabled placard in the mail. My expired placard number was A [redacted] which expired in June [redacted]. My date of birth is 9/6/[redacted]. I have tried to contact, but have not been able to speak to a representative because my issue is not among the listed options. Do I need to make an appointment at the DMV to resolve this? I have to visit the DMV frequently for my pancreatic cancer stage four infusions, and the fatigue from the drug trial makes it challenging. The placard should have been automatically mailed to me. I updated my address when I renewed my driver's license and submitted another address change 3-4 weeks ago. I have exhausted all options and would prefer not to hire anyone as suggested online by the DMV. This delay is causing significant inconvenience. My local DMV is San Pedro DMV. Hello, I have been waiting for my driving license for 6 weeks now! Why has it not arrived yet? I have been unable to get in touch with you either via chat or by phone. Is it possible for someone to call me or provide me with the tracking number for my driving license? It seems like my license is taking a world tour before reaching me. Without a pictured ID, I am unable to register for services like Uber to earn money. I relocated from Brooklyn, NYC to California two months ago, so is waiting over 6 weeks for a license part of the California welcome? My license expired, and I couldn't renew it due to a failure to appear in traffic court. I was driving my wife's car with expired tags and didn't know I had to appear in court to resolve the issue. I ended up with a failure to appear on my record. I paid the fine at Harbor Court in Newport Beach, but the DMV now requires valid ID for renewal. I have an expired license and passport, but do have a utility bill in my name. What other ID options do I have to obtain my license? I'm unable to drive at the moment. I'm originally from South Dakota and now live in Orange County, California, so I don't have a certified birth certificate. What alternative documents can I use to get my license renewed?

In April [redacted], I placed an order for a personalized license plate for my motorcycle. I paid the $50 fee but have not yet received the plate or any notification from the DMV. I am a 75-year-old senior citizen trying to renew my driver's license online. Governor Gavin Newsom waived the need for DMV office visits for seniors 70 and older due to the Covid-19 pandemic, extending the waiver through December [redacted]. I received a ticket while traveling through Coos County, Oregon in ****. I live in California. My license expired in ****, and I have been trying to renew it since then without success. One runaround after another. When I went to the DMV in my town, I was told I needed to contact the Mandatory Actions Unit (MAU) first. I called from my cellphone while at the DMV and waited on hold until my battery died. I have made several attempts to reach the MAU, sitting on hold endlessly each time, never once speaking with a human. I need my license back, but I can't do it without speaking to them first. Please help me. I can't work or survive without my license, especially since I live in a rural area without public transportation.

I took the permit test at the DMV. Despite passing with only 8 questions missed, the employee said I failed. Confused about the passing criteria, I left. Returning for a second try, I failed again. Upon inquiring, I learned I needed to answer 8 questions correctly. Surprisingly, that was exactly the number I missed on my previous attempt. Having attempted the test 6 times, I believe I should have received my permit by the second attempt considering the 8 questions rule. I have kept records of all my visits to the DMV, but the employees said their records do not reflect all my attempts. I feel the worker owes me an apology for the oversight and should face consequences for not doing her job properly.

Due to recent illness, I hadn't used my car until now and noticed my license tag needed renewal in February. I didn't receive a bill, so I went online to address it. I am struggling to locate the standard complaint form on your website. I am determined to find it and will keep submitting forms and contacting individuals until I receive assistance. Representative S.B. has not been helpful. I am unsure how to provide the required documentation if it requests something with my physical address, which I do not possess. Obtaining my legitimate California driver's license took over a year due to this issue. Even after extensive emails to various contacts, it required a supervisor to seek approval from a higher authority to process it. Additionally, a negative encounter with a DMV employee prevents me from returning there. My documents only display a P.O. Box address, not a physical one. I am seeking assistance for a situation regarding my 18-year-old son who recently moved to California from Colorado and is trying to obtain his CDL. He completed the online application and visited the Concord DMV office with all necessary documents except his Colorado driver's license, which was stolen. Despite having a digital copy on his phone, the DMV refused to accept it. He also encountered obstacles trying to obtain a replacement Colorado license as he must be 21 to do so online.
